Drug Prices, Medical Debt, and School Vouchers: The 2026 U.S. House Choice Facing Easton Voters
What Easton Voters Are Deciding in 2026
Easton sits in Pennsylvania's 7th Congressional District, and that House seat is on the ballot November 3, 2026. Bob Brooks is the Democratic candidate: a Bethlehem firefighter and union president who has spent over two decades serving the Lehigh Valley. The costs bearing down on Easton families are concrete: prescription drug prices, medical debt, rising utility bills, and underfunded public schools.
Where Bob Brooks Stands on Costs and Schools
On healthcare, Brooks will go to bat to bring down drug prices like insulin and beta-blockers, expand coverage, and make sure every town has the doctors and clinics people actually need. He points out that in 2023, 20 million Americans were stuck with $220 billion in medical debt while 16 of the biggest drug companies made $684 billion, and he supports Medicare for All.
On utility bills, Brooks opposes letting data centers raise energy costs while out-of-state corporations get rich and has pledged to fight for legislation in Congress mirroring Gov. Shapiro's executive order on data centers.
On schools, Brooks will not support using federal money to hand vouchers to private schools while public schools are being starved, and believes the federal government should make sure every school in the district has the funding, staff, and support it needs.
The Choice for Easton on November 3
Easton voters who want lower drug prices, less medical debt, protected public school funding, and a check on data centers driving up utility costs should support Bob Brooks for U.S. House on November 3, 2026. Register by October 19, 2026, and make a plan to vote.
