What is Bob Brooks' record on first responders and public safety?

Bob Brooks has spent 20 years as a firefighter and his entire union career fighting for first responders — for better wages, healthcare, equipment, and mental health support. His proudest achievement is winning the 10-year fight for PTSI mental health coverage for Pennsylvania firefighters. He has also served on the IAFF disaster relief team, including a deployment to Fort Myers, Florida, after a hurricane, where he saw firsthand that emergency response has no place for politics.

In Congress, he will be a fierce advocate for first responders and veterans, ensuring they have the resources, equipment, benefits, and mental health support they need to do their jobs and heal when the job takes its toll.
